Crop a photo into a clean shape.
Pick a square, portrait, landscape, or wide crop and export a PNG. Use it for quick edits, then switch to document presets when sizing must be exact.

Photo cropper
Create a centered square, portrait, or landscape crop without leaving the page.
For official ID crops, use the main Passlens editor with document presets.
Need this for a passport, visa, or ID photo?
Open the Passlens ID photo editor
When the photo cropper helps.
This page is for quick browser work. For passport, visa, or ID-photo rules, use the Passlens editor after the quick fix so size, background, and print output can be checked.
Use it when
- A photo needs a cleaner square, portrait, or landscape frame.
- You want to crop before making a profile image or simple graphic.
- A source image has too much empty space around the subject.
Before you download
- This cropper uses simple centered crops.
- Use Passlens document presets when head position and millimetres matter.
- Check the downloaded PNG before uploading it anywhere official.
Before using it for a passport or ID photo
The photo cropper can clean up a source image, but it is not the final compliance check. Use it first when the photo needs a quick fix, then open a document preset to confirm the outer size, head position, background, file format, and print scale.
What happens to the file
The preview runs in this browser tab and the normal download is a PNG. Keep the original nearby if the edit makes skin tone, edges, or text look worse. For official photos, export only after the document editor shows the crop you actually need.
